Tonkatsu at Hamakatsu

Just wanna share this post to food trip friday.. It's been awhile and I miss sharing my foods and reading my co-foodtrippers' yummylicious food posts... Last week, we had... ..a full course of TONKATSU meal at my favorite Tonkatsu Restaurant in town —- the Hamakatsu . As usual, it came with an amazing miso soup, shredded cabbage, oshinko, and sesame seeds for the sauce, dressings, and oolong tea. Goma-suri (sesame seed grinder) to make the tonkatsu sauce tastier :) mouthgasm! This time I ordered a different tonkatsu set, which are pork cutlets (rosu and hi-re, i don’t the term in english lol) and ebi fry (deep fried shrimp). I even asked for another extra rice in a bowl. We also ordered a separate meal set from the kids’ menu for our little princess.. Katsudon Kid’s dinner set :) What I love about family restaurants here in Japan is their freebies for the kids.. Anzu chose the Lilo Stitch coloring set from this basket. What an amazing dinner! To

Fresh Oyster

I've never eaten raw oyster anywhere else other than here in Japan. It's big, yummy and I'm sure it's clean and fresh, as in fresh... I never had raw oysters before because I was scared to try them. The first time I tried them was just late last year (i can't remember). It was really good. Never judge a book by its cover.

Lazy Cook

One lazy evening, instead of opening a can good, I cooked this one... SO YUMMY I swear.. I think you already know how simple it is to cook this.. All you have to do is sautee the shrimp with butter, garlic and some seasonings. I used Knorr Original Seasoning Mix and the result? --- Heavenly deliciouso...

Shogayaki or Ginger Pork

I'm currently the chef in the house although I'm not really a good cook.. Honeyb loves whatever I cook for him. There are days when we're just not in the mood to eat a home cook meal. Either we dine out or take out home-cooked like food from Origin Bento . This was the food I ordered. Japanese Shogayaki or Ginger Pork in english. Shoga means ginger Yaki means grill or fry I could've have cook Shogayaki myself because it is so simple to cook. It is one of the most popular dishes in Japan. The main ingredient of course is ginger which really sets off the meat. You just have to add some seasonings to taste. You might wanna cooking this to your loveone(s)... so simple... Ingredients: 2 tbsp (or more, depends on how many pork, 1:2) grated fresh ginger 3 tbsp soy sauce 2 tbsps mirin 1 tbsp sake / rice wine thinly sliced pork (up to you how many) Mix the first 3 ingredients. Marinate pork for 5 minutes. Heat some oil in a frying pan (I prefer ext

Camera Case

I suddenly bought a new camera a week ago because my little girl broke my old camera's lens. But it's ok.. It was fault anyway. And I was actually planning to buy a new one this month. New camera means new camera case... Isn't it nice and fabulous ? It's so girly though. I don't think my hubby would carry this for me lol. I love not only because of its stylish look, but also it has 2 pockets.

Longanisa

After quite awhile, we went to the nearest Philippine Store to buy sinigang mix and other pinoy goods last weekend. HoneyB has been requesting me to cook sinigang for our lil girl. I haven't cooked yet but I'm planning next week --goodluck to me. Anyway, Here's one of the highlights of our food menus this week.... I voted this as our Yummiest Breakfast for the week. Homemade Longganiza from FriendMart Philippine Store.... Yours truly's plate with sliced tomatoes ( ohh sayang walang itlog na maalat ), vinegar ( sukang sawsawan ), and Knorr Seasoning Mix... Pinoy na pinoy! I LOVE IT! While this was my HoneyB's plate.... Pinoy Breakfast in Japanese Style with miso soup, and melon Hubby loves longganiza, especially the skinless and regular flavor of Pampanga's Best. Healthy Note: I always cook the skinless lonnganiza in low fire, never add oil because the longganiza itself has its natural oil... Longganisa is a type of Filipino chorizo o

This Blog Surprised Me With A Page Rank

Fab ♥ Momma is officially on its new home, the wordpress platform, as of July 12, 2010. Please head over here for the latest updates. I'm actually quite surprised when I discovered that this page has been ranked to 3. it's really an unexpected update since this has been negelected for almost a month. Now I'm clueless on what to do on this site. I have no great deal being serious about PageRanks but I'm aware that being ranked means the blog got a lot of traffic from the search engines and it is indeed important to bloggers who make money online... I've always thought about joining the trend of earning online thru PPP , PayU and similar sites but I still hesitate because of my time, and my writing skills.. I guess I might give it a try when I have time, and I would definitely ask my bigtime blogger friends to guide me =) For now, please visit the new fabbielous blog, www.fabbielous.com

I love Bibimbap...

I was never a fan of Korean food because they are spicy and kinda smelly ( --oh maybe because of my image of Kimichi). But Honeyb likes Korean food. Specifically, he loves bibimbap. That would be his last order whenever we eat at Yakiniku restaurant. Sometimes, he would take out a Bibimbap bento and see him satisfied after eating. One day, out of curiousity and starvingness, I tasted my hubby's bibimbap ---wow! It tasted awesome! I even bought the same dish for two the next day ... and the next 2 days. and planning to buy tomorrow. So there, my love for bibimbap started last week.

I'm the poorest blogger...

Let's just say that I'M ON-LEAVE financially. I would regard myself as a workaholic for 3 years. I've earned enough money to renovate our house in PH, buy myself a brand new car, and enroll myself to a Japanese Learning school. If not from my mom and my late stepfather, I wouldn't have the opportunity to stay here in Japan and find a decent job that pays nth times from the normal wage that I would earn in the Philippines. Maybe I was overwelmed with my salary that I let myself enjoyed the rewards of my hard work everytime I come home to Philippines for 3-5 months vacation. I guess I enjoyed so much that there came a time when I asked myself "what was I thinking?!!!" then... I should've listen to the oldies. I should've invested on the properties that do not depreciate. There have been "I should've" things in my mind during the first year of being a PAL (u know what pal is? lol). However, I don't regret spending all my money e

I love My Body

I'm one of those girls who feels so big when others don't agree. I really think I've become big when I gave birth. My XS size is now M. My 23cm shoe size has become 23.5 cm. My waistline -- nevermind. I have alot of denims that are waiting to be worn again. Nonetheless, I'm still proud of my body even if I rarely get to pamper it anymore. I love every part of my body even if they're not perfect. Talking about which part of my body I love most, I guess that would be my EYES and my LIPS which I also consider as my sexiest part ... How about you? WHat do you think of your physical self?

Heartful Cake

These are not cookies but Pancakes... made with so much love for.... my honeyb, as "father's day" midnight snack for my lil kawaii prinsesa, as meryenda =) I always wish I could bake real and tempting cakes like what Ate Clang and my other girl friends do... I can try to bake but I don't have time and equipments ( yet ) lol

What's inside my bag?

Which bag I use and what are the things I bring depend on where I go and whom I am going with. This bag is the one I brought last tuesday. It was my lil dolly's pre-school day and our leisure bonding time too. I got 2 bag organizers given by my girlfriend Lea (the pink one for anzu's stuff), and my mom's father In Law (the orange for my personal things) SO here's what inside my 2 bag organizers... diapers, wipes, tooth care, sunblock, etc coin purse, sunblock, shades What's yours?

Cafe De Crie

I think I'm loving Cafe de Crie located my favorite shopping mecca, Tachikawa City where my little girl Azumi is having her pre-school class every tuesday. We've been here thrice since it was recently opened last month. It's one of the trendy cafes here in Tokyo/Japan. I love their original blend coffee beverages, toasted sandwiches, Danish sandwiches, pastas and desserts. Here's what I ordered for 3 consecutive tuesdays lol Mocha Blended Sorbege, Fuwa Fuwa Tamago Sandwich (danish soft egg), Meat Pasta, and Chocolate Cream Cake If there is anything that isn't Starbucks that is better than Starbucks will be Cafe de Crie

What's inside my wallet?

Well this is my favorite wallet and I think it's lucky. BUT lately, I don't bring it as often as I used to -- maybe my subconcious mind doesn't want to abuse its luckiness lol.. I always bring the coin purse instead coz it's not bulky. Inside my wallet are lots of cards... credit card atm card point cards from different malls and boutiques Omamori ( Japanese : お守り, o-mamori ) - a Japanese amulets or goodluck charm Alien registration (外国人登録, gaikokujin tōroku) Medical card pictures No money but coins

Scarf and Sandals

A very good friend of mine surprised me again with this lovely gift, Spring Scarf and equally fashionable sandals, plus a Birthday card, as her birthday present for me. I never expected this and I thought it was too much. BUT then, I so love them. Mom even wanted to use it first, and so as my sister, as soon as I opened the gift. We were about to go for our BBq Party when Mr. Postman came by to deliver it. Just right in time. I was really surprised and got thrilled. I was actually planning to buy a spring scarf the day before to protect me from the heat of the sun during the BBQ Party. Who would've thought a wonderful present has just waiting for me.. THANK YOU my friend, my idol.. Whatta a wonderful thing to start a great and fun day. The scarf just gave an accent to my black outfit during the party... i love it.. Who needs a pretty face when you've got a nice Scarf? Who needs a sexy feet when you have a fabulous sandals? I DO! It would be a great if I ha

36 months...

A morning surprise from honeyb on our 36th month of a happy married life, 6/11/2010 Roses can be a perfect way to express how much you truly love someone. And that SUnflower-like means peace according to him. May we have a peaceful and more blissful life this year and the coming years... I can still remember the first time he gave me a bouquet of roses. I was overjoyed.

The Vain In Me

I was a vain person. If wanting to look good and to feel good is vain, then I am still pretty vain.. I guess every girl or woman is vain to some degree. I spend more time getting ready in front of a mirror, re-changing clothes, digging out different shoes, etc. etc. than putting making up and styling my hair. Eyeliners and foundation are enough to make me beautiful. I don't usually wear lipstick nor lipgloss. I don't put blush on. I noticed that I no longer care if I have a mirror in my purse or bag anymore. In my vanity kit: Bare Mineral foundation set, Kate make up, eyeliners, mascara, and Kanebo7s BB Cream (thanks sis)

Happy Birthday Fab Roses

I wouldn't want to miss this day without posting a virtual greeting to these two Roses who are celebrating their birthdays today. Ate Rose , one of my favorite mommy bloggers that I adore so much, especially the way she takes care of her family -her cutie and adorable kids that I want to take photos with someday, and her goodlooking husband that seems to have the most perfect smile.. I love her because she has been there all the time, together with other fab mommas online, watching my lil girl grow with me, and she has shared so much about her life that inspire me somehow to become a better mom that I am.. I'm happy that she created a meme called Nostalgia --please join us every thurs =) Visit her sites: Nostalgic Marveling , Spice Up Your Life , Etc Etc , Obstacles and Glory Same with Mommy Rossel. . I'm always been anticipating to her sharings esepcially about her motherhood experiences with her pretty daughter RJ.. She's one of the nicest mommy bloggers I know. Vis

My Daddy Yo!

We may be unlucky to have been grown up in a broken family, without a mom by our side during our growing up years for some reasons that we fully understand and accepted, but we're so lucky, SO LUCKY and BLESSED to have a father like our Dad who's surrounded by supportive family and friends who have also been there to look after us, showered us with love and care. I never realized how our Dad ever love us so much when I become a mom. I can still remember all the things that we've been through -- thick and thin, good times and bad times -- and I love talking about them with Honeyb over and over. He's one of our favorite subject. Well according to my hubby, I'm more like him. At first I denied the similarities, but now I'm kinda loving what we share in common. We're cool, friendly, responsible parent, down-to-earth, cowboy, walk-out king and queen, happy-go-lucky (but i retired from that), not kuripot, open minded, matured, and a lot more that you'll

Beef and Chicken Combo

This is the dish I ordered at our favorite American Restaurant in Minato Mirai Yokohama Beef and Chicken Combo which I think is a Mexican dish... It was my first time to order this --and I won't share this to my fellow foodtrippers if it wasn't taste good. This is how you eat this.... Looks like Shawarma huh? Taste something like that actually...

On my SHower Loot....

Girls, these are my companions whenever I take a bath... Thumbs up for Shiseido's new Tsubaki Head Spa which I'm currently using. I've been using Tsubaki, particularly the Shining Version for quite awhile. I love its smell and it leaves your hair soft and shiny, like no other shampoo have done before. You'll feel the difference in a matter of days. And these are my beauty regimen after bath... Softymo's Collagen for face cleansing wash (alternately using the white version), CHerry blossom lotion, Detclear facial peeling gel, and magic cream =)

Honey Bee...

Just got home from Narita Airport.. My sissy went back home to PI. So sad... To divert my temporary loneliness, I'll be back to my normal blogging routine lol (that includes bloghopping).. Now I'm sharing this delicious sweet temptation to you and to foodtrippers ... Belgium Waffles of Honey bee .. Brownie Caramel with Vanilla Topping for me.. Banana and Brownie Caramel for my dear Lil Sissy.. ... Honey bee is our favorite cafe when we go shopping at Tachikawa, Tokyo.. They serve yummy waffles. Not only waffles, they have sandwiches, frozen custard, fresh juices, shakes, and many more. No wonder, it's always crowded with female customers...
