Longanisa

After quite awhile, we went to the nearest Philippine Store to buy sinigang mix and other pinoy goods last weekend. HoneyB has been requesting me to cook sinigang for our lil girl. I haven't cooked yet but I'm planning next week --goodluck to me.

Anyway,

Here's one of the highlights of our food menus this week.... I voted this as our Yummiest Breakfast for the week.

Homemade Longganiza from FriendMart Philippine Store....

Yours truly's plate

with sliced tomatoes (ohh sayang walang itlog na maalat), vinegar (sukang sawsawan), and Knorr Seasoning Mix... Pinoy na pinoy! I LOVE IT!

While this was my HoneyB's plate....

Pinoy Breakfast in Japanese Style

with miso soup, and melon

Hubby loves longganiza, especially the skinless and regular flavor of Pampanga's Best.

Healthy Note:

I always cook the skinless lonnganiza in low fire, never add oil because the longganiza itself has its natural oil...
Longganisa is a type of Filipino chorizo or sausage. It is sometimes spelled as longanisa, longaniza, langgonisa, or langgoniza. It originated from many Philippine regions like in the towns of Vigan, Lucban, and Guagua. The most popular meat used in making this sausage is pork. Other substitutes are chicken, beef, or tuna more.

Have you tried the chorizo from Cebu? It's GOOOOD. One of my fave pasalubongs whenever we come back from Cebu.

Getting To Know Me

I'd like to introduce myself to BC Bloggers and to everyone who's following this precious site of mine. SO here I'm reblogging my "About Me" page (edited) to let you know a little info about myself. I also want to acknowledge Paula for this wonderful and exciting BC Blogger Getting To know Party =) Im Bambie, 27, currently living a happy, and simple life in the fast paced city of Tokyo, Japan. I started blogging when I was pregnant. I had to stop working so I pre-occupied myself with pregnancy scrapbooks and thought that it would be nice to have an online journal, specifically about my pregnancy. I just thought that I needed to have an online baby book so that my busy friends and family in different parts of the world could have a medium of getting updates about my baby girl (who are all more excited to see my baby than me lol) but yeah, blogging could be really addictive especially when you have regular readers who keep on inspiring you in some way. I never i

My Birthday and my cake...

It's already a week since the day we celebrated my 28th Birthday in simple and intimate way. Honey pretty much did an effort of throwing a "not-so-suprised party" for me on a Cafe and Bar Restaurant. He reserved the private room for us, packaged with a dinner course for 6 persons and "drink all you can" beverages, such as fresh juices, sodas, cocktails and liquors.. YEAH that includes a variety of cocktails and liquors. No wonder, I had enough lol. The main surprise was the birthday cake. Actually I knew I would have one, a but I was surprised of how the staff presented me their special cake that is made for me. Birthday music turned on, lights were turned off, then the CAKE made its grand entrance. Of course, birthday song was sung once more and I made a alot of wishes before blowing off the candles. Trust me, it's delicious. I think the most delicious cake I ever taste. My favorite way to spend my birthday is, of course, with my loved ones and f

Comfort Food

Talking about comfort foods, i have lots. Pancit canton, Vcut or Chippy + coke, mangga with bagoong, quarterpounder by Mcdo, milo sandwich ---and a lot more to mention-- were my comfort foods when I was younger ... But geesh, i would never forget the happiness and great satisfaction I always feel everytime I eat one the Baskin Robbin's seasonal ice cream flavor, GHOST WORLD, which is only available every month of September. I would ask my honeyb to buy me a pint coz a cup or two aren't enough. There was even a time when he forgot and I was so furious that he had no choice but to go out again and buy me at the last minute lol. ANd whatta a disappointment coz last year, this flavor wasn't available! The last time I ate it was when I took this photo =( A week before I gave birth to lil Anzu (9/30/08). Never thought that it would be the last =( But anyway, there are still tempting foods that comfort me, and they vary everytime lol.
